I recall being offered a couple of bitcoins when they were worth pennies on the dollar. Needless to say, I no longer possess them. With the price of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies skyrocketing again, cryptomining, which is a way to accumulate cryptocurrency without having to pay for it, has reawakened interest. Let’s look at what makes a decent cryptomining rig and what equipment you’ll need if you’re serious about mining.
What is cryptomining?
The “rig” is, in essence, a personalized PC. It has all of the standard PC components, such as a CPU, motherboard, RAM, and storage. You want to Build Crypto Mining Farm. When it comes to graphics cards, things get a little out of hand. When it comes to cryptocurrency mining, it’s the GPU, not the CPU, that does the heavy lifting. For mining, you’ll need a fairly strong GPU, and you’ll almost certainly need more than one. In reality, a mining rig can be thought of as a low-cost PC with one or more high-performance GPUs attached. Multiple graphics cards must be connected to a single device, which necessitates the use of a motherboard. If you’re going to push stuff to its limits, you’ll need more than one power supply unit (PSU).

CONSIDERATIONS FOR MINING RIG
When Build Crypto Mining Farm, keep the following points in mind:
. It isn’t going to be inexpensive!
. Power consumption should be factored into your mining equation because it can eat into your profits.
. Since you’re not designing a standard PC, having it to work can be a trial and error process involving a lot of fiddling with drivers. Wait patiently!
Motherboard
Let’s start with the motherboard, shall we? The Asus B250 Mining Expert is a monster of a motherboard that can support up to 19 graphics cards. That’s a lot of information. The board isn’t brand new (it was launched in 2017), and it can be finicky to set up (it needs a specific layout of AMD and Nvidia graphics cards), For this board, Asus has recommended GPU layouts for 19-, 13-, and 11-cards, and while other layouts might work, I recommend sticking to what the manufacturer recommends, as straying from this is a recipe for serious — and costly — headaches.
RAM
You’re just not going to go overboard on RAM. The motherboard supports DDR4 2400, and this G.SKILL 2x8GB package will
Storage
I’d put a couple of these 1TB SSDs in there. They’re ideal for this application because they’re under $100 each. You could use HDDs, but I personally prefer SSDs these days.
PSU
You can need several PSUs depending on how many graphics cards you have built. It’s tempting to go for the cheapest option, but given how hard they’ll be pushed, I suggest spending a little more.
These Segotep PSUs are a good middle-of-the-road price, but they deliver consistent efficiency. Since it’s modular, you won’t end up with a tangle of wires on your mining rig.
Nividia Graphic Cards.
This is a fantastic card that has everything you need in a mining rig. Overclocking capacity abounds, as well as stability and excellent cooling. Another plus is that it’s a fairly powerful card, resulting in lower power consumption and lower mining costs.
AMD Graphic cards
Another case in point where you get what you pay for: A high-performance graphics card with plenty of horsepower, speed, and efficiency. The price, once again, is exorbitant, which is the biggest drawback.
How much did your electrician charge to install the outlet?
0% boring
1% hard
99% electricity bill
If you know what I mean 😂
Jokes aside, great job on video, mining garage farm seems really interesting and also a fun experience
Aye
DOOD!
18 gauge is so underrated…. should be 14 gauge for safety. UL would never approve 18 gauge. Only in China. 🙂 Fire waiting to happen.
Wow you seem really happy making these videos
Hope to see this channel grow for sure.
so sick man! NERDGEARZ FTW (Derpikarp if you see this where's my 240v 30a PDU??) haha awesome setup @Hash Raptor u can add tons more gpu rigs now!
Cool stuff bro, the 220V wall socket looks awesome, as an engineer; I would share your opinion with having a professional to install it as it usually needs a separate breaker with specific wire gauge.
Rigs look fantastic at night with those LED's flashing 🙂
Happy mining bro 😎
Sam ✌🏻
First 🍻
I love your videos HashRaptor, keep em coming man!
